Cathy offers an eclectic blend of services. Her specialties are Reiki and Energy Work. These services may be provided as an entire 30 or 60 minute session or combined as a part of a general massage session.

Reiki

Reiki (pronounced ray-key) is a Japanese term which means "Universal Life Energy". Reiki is and ancient healing art which is sometimes referred to as "hands on healing" or "energy work". This life energy is present in every living thing. The Reiki practitioner acts as a channel to conduct this Universal Life Energy which flows through the practitioner's hands into the client. . It is believed that imbalances in our Universal Life Energy can affect our health in these areas. The Reiki method is designed to restore, balance, and invigorate the energies of the body, mind, and spirit.

Energy Work

Energy fields are described by modern science as existing both in and among us. When we are healthy, our individual energy fields are balanced and circulating freely. Special energy healing science techniques developed by Barbara Brennan are used to provide a gentle form of bodywork is designed to repair, balance, charge, and clear the human energy field and chakra system.

Sound Healing

Sound Healing is the use of sound to create balance and alignment in: the physical body, and the energy centers called "chakras". This includes:
Crystal Singing Bowls, drums, therapeutic music, chanting, and toning.

Guided Meditation & Relaxation Exercises

This is a process by which the therapist guides the client through the use of the voice to promote states of deep relaxation.

Crystal Therapy

Various crystals and minerals are used during a session to assist in the process of balancing the energy systems of the body. Often they are placed on sites of pain, or on subtle energy vortexes called chakras.
